Welcome to Getting Crafty! I’m Dee and I’ll be sharing my crafting adventures with you here. As the mother of a 3-year-old and an infant, it is hard to find the time to craft, but I’ve found that one of the best stress reducers is to find a little time to myself and create with my hands. Not only do I enjoy the process, but there is just nothing like holding that finished product in your hands and knowing that you made it yourself.

Getting Crafty is about just that – getting crafty!  Whether you are an expert or a novice, there are plenty of ways to explore your creativity.  While my favorite ways to craft right now are knitting and sewing, I hope to highlight other crafts as well. This site is here to inspire, to motivate, and to simply serve as a record of craft projects that I have done (or want to do).
