It’s A Halloween Giveaway!

I’ve been hinting around for a while now about my big Halloween project and it is finally time to show it off.  It took a long time to get everything ready, especially since Evie’s sleep patterns have been extremely inconsistent lately.  I discovered that it is very hard to sew with a baby in your lap!

But, today I’m finally ready to share two big announcements.  First off, I have opened my very own Getting Crafty Etsy shop.  I’m a huge fan of Etsy and I’ve wanted to do this for a very long time.

The first items up for sale in my shop are these super cute reversible Halloween Trick or Treat bags. I wasn’t sure they would ever get finished in time, but I finally have enough to open up shop. There are currently two different patterns available – the sweet Pumpkins and Candy Corn or the spooky Ghosts and Goblins.

That isn’t the best part though.  One lucky person is going to win a bag of their own!  There are three easy ways to enter the contest.

1.) Leave a comment telling me what you (or your kids) are dressing up as for Halloween.

2.) Post on Twitter about the giveaway (you must include @deew27 so I can find it).

3.) Stumble this post and leave a comment here letting me know that you did.

All entries must be completed by 5:00 p.m. (Central) on Thursday, October 9, 2008.  One winner will be randomly drawn from all entries at that time.  The lucky winner will win one reversible Pumpkins and Candy Corn Trick or Treat bag, perfect for toting around all those sweet treats the kids will be collecting.

Very cute! Congrats on the opening of your etsy shop! It’s so much fun! :)

Not sure what my daughter is going as for Halloween yet. I’m thinking a Ballerina since she just learned how to twirl! I’m still trying to figure out how I’m going to keep her warm though! :)

I have no idea what my Zac is going to be for Halloween, although he came home yesterday from preschool being very excited about wearing a white cowboy hat and acting like a cowboy all day at school. He might either be that or the King of Puzzles (costume still unknown, except that I imagine it will involve a cape and a crown).

Please sign me up for the contest! Congratulations on your new Etsy shop.

I’m not quite sure what LF will be for Halloween yet. I know, I’m so lame. I actually was thinking maybe a pumpkin but I was also thinking of having a poll on my blog like last year and letting everyone else decide for me. As for me…hubbie and I have a themed “crime & punishment” party to go to and we have to dress the parts, but I have no idea what to wear for that either. So we’re still kind of up in the air here in our house. If you have any ideas for “crime & punishment” send them my way though, I’d love to hear!!! :-)

I actually did stumble on your post! You have a great website.

The bags are very cute.

My daughter wants to dress as a flapper girl for Halloween.
